West Coast Cops (titled Brit Cops Down Under to UK audiences) follows international officers who take the life-changing step of leaving the UK to join the WA Police Force.

On arrival they undergo three months of training, including taser and firearms, and they must pass all units to become a West Aussie Cop, they then have a three month probation period on the beat. But it’s not just work that’s tough. They are starting their lives all over again, some with young children and partners, leaving family and friends behind. The many challenges include finding a new home, schools, doctors, hair dressers, buying furniture, phones, cars and replacing all those coat hangers they left behind…

Two new recruits arrive from the UK, Jay and Ben L. Ben W works his first day at Perth station, which coincides with Christmas Day. Anna's family celebrate Christmas at the beach and Anna sees in the New Year on the beat in Armadale.
We are introduced to our final wave of UK recruits, Darren, Maggie and Michael. Ben is unsure whether he’ll stay in Australia and Jay has his first day out on the beat.
We follow four of our recruits as they adjust to their new lives down under. From first days on the beat to stressful house-hunting, the reality of life in Perth hits our rookie cops.
