Salary & Allowances

The WA Police Force offers you more security.

You’ll start with 28-weeks of paid training and a competitive salary. After graduating, you’ll receive annual incremental pay increases along with additional shift allowances.

As you advance your career or take up regional opportunities, there will be salary increases to reflect your progression. Plus, you'll experience other great benefits and incentives on offer.

Diploma of Policing

Partnering with North Metropolitan TAFE, your training at the WA Police Force Academy is now recognised nationally.

After applying for the WA Police Force, successfully completing the 28-week academy training, 18-month probationary period, and being appointed a permanent constable position, you can apply for the Diploma of Policing.

The qualification provides numerous benefits, including credit points towards select fields of study and direct entry to university for associated courses.
