You will also need to complete an Integrity Declaration to ensure you meet the standards of ethical and professional conduct required by the WA Police Force.

What is a Custody Support Officer?

Custody Support Officers work in key locations, including the Perth Watch House, to help Police Officers with the safe admission, custody and release of detainees.

Can I join straight after high school?

Yes! You must be at least 17 years and 6 months of age to apply for Police Officer positions (18 upon appointment), 17 years old for Police Auxiliary Officer roles and 16 years old to apply for Cadet positions (17 upon appointment).

What do shifts and rosters look like?

Shifts and rosters may vary depending on availabilities of Custody Support Officers, and between stations. Custody Support Officers can expect to work both day and night shifts, as well as on weekends.

For example, the shift pattern at the Perth Watch House may be two day shifts, followed by two night shifts, and then four days off.
