Transitional Officer
If you are currently a Police Officer in another Australian state or New Zealand, opportunities are available. We value and recognise your skills and experience, enabling you to continue your policing career in WA.
We recognise you met a wide range of requirements when you first became a Police Officer. For transitional officers joining us from interstate or overseas, we ask that you meet an updated set of criteria to support your move to the WA Police Force.
We understand you’ve already completed the rigorous application process to become a Police Officer. As you consider returning to the Force, we need to carry out a few checks to ensure you’re ready to step back in.
If your application to join the WA Police Force is successful, you'll be offered a 13-week transitional training course at the WA Police Academy in Joondalup.
When you successfully complete your 13-week training course, you will be ready for the job.
