Welcome to Week 8!

Congratulations on taking the first step toward an exciting and rewarding career with the WA Police Force! 

It's Week 8 - the last week of the program! This final week supports long-term readiness. The focus remains on building strength, endurance, and resilience that can be carried forward into future police training and operational demands.

Before you get started...

  • Use the program to guide your gym or home workout.
  • Start at comfortable weight and work your way up each week.
  • Remember to always complete a full body mobility warm up to start and full body stretch and cool down to finish.
Warm Up

Choose 3-5 exercises to complete before each workout covering shoulders, hips and ankles.

Repeat each exercise for 10-12 reps or hold for 3-5 seconds.

Gym Program

Full Body Strength

Complete a full body mobility warm up to start, and full body stretch and cool down.


Engage eccentric reps again this week - focus on slowing down the tempo in the eccentric portion of the exercise.

Endurance Program

AMRAP - As Many Rounds as Possible

Complete a full body warm up to start, and a full body stretch and cool down to finish. 

Repeat the workout as many times as you can, moving at your own pace, as you can in a 24-minute time cap.

1-minute full rest after each completed round.

Running Program

Beep Test

Run the Beep Test again to gauge improvement.

Aim for the achievement level for the Physical Performance Evaluation - 7.01 for males, and 6.01 for females.

Cool Down


Complete a cool down with stretch as required at the end of every workout.

After The Program

Keep building on your progress: While the program may be over, look into the advanced alternatives of each movement. It’s important you sustain your fitness and strength, and continue to build.

Test yourself against the Physical Performance Evaluation: Put yourself to the test, and put yourself up against the Physical Performance Evaluation, which is used during recruitment to evaluate your physical readiness.
